5A molecular sieves are usually formed by the exchange of calcium ions to 4A molecular sieves instead of sodium ions.
Divalent calcium ions make it an excellent choice for removing carbon dioxide, CO, hydrogen sulfide, and other weakly
polar molecules.

5A molecular sieves can be widely used in the separation of n-isomer hydrocarbons, pressure swing adsorption separation,
and co-adsorption of water and carbon dioxide.
